Roger Anthony YOLANDA Mapes is an eccentric,ecstatic southern rock, country, gospel, folk artist and interfaith minister with a soulful voice, spiritual outlook, great costumes, and a wicked sense of humor. His shows and CDs emphasize love, beautiful melodies, interesting stories, and a bit of inspiration. He began studying music, painting and drawing at a young age with local artists and was encouraged to develop his own unique vision. Roger is influenced by pop, rock, blues, country, and folk, but doesn’t self-consciously follow any one tradition…combining them all into some hybrid of his own.

“I am a singer/ songwriter/ performance artist/ fine artist and Interfaith Minister. It is my intention with my endeavors to cause myself and others to see the world from a new perspective. I want to re-define societal notions on every subject area. I use performance/drag, music, art, and A Course In Miracles http://www.acim.org to create a world that is based on forgiveness. My hope is that my endeavors are meaningful to others and myself in creating a fresh perspective built on supporting each others highest potential”.
